RAVENは、かつて極限の速度と判断を求められる場所にいた、エースファイター。

ある理由で現役を退くことを余儀なくされ、復帰は絶望的になった。戻れないと理解してからも、彼の中から「次の一瞬へ踏み込むための高揚」は消えなかった。

大舞台や勝負の直前に、身体の奥から立ち上がる肯定的な武者震い。突破したい意志、抗えない本能、欲望、そして孤独や切なさ――そのすべてを、彼はギターの一音へ置き換えようとしている。

RAVEN was once an ace fighter pilot in a place that demanded extreme speed and judgment.

For certain reasons he was forced to leave active duty, and return became hopeless. Even after he understood that he could not go back, the elation of stepping into the next instant never left him.

Just before a big stage or a decisive moment, an affirming shiver rises from deep in the body. The will to break through, an instinct he cannot resist, desire, and also solitude and wistfulness — all of it, he is trying to convert into a single note on the guitar.

MARSHIVERNとの接点WITH MARSHIVERN

行き場を失っていたRAVENを、かつて「IRON WING」で共に演奏していたHAMMERが再び演奏へ誘った。HAMMERが刻む最初のカウントを聞いた瞬間、失ったはずの感覚が戻る。だがMARSHIVERNは、過去を再現するための場所ではない。戻れない者が、それでも前へ進むために選んだ音の場所である。

When RAVEN had nowhere left to go, HAMMER — his former bandmate in IRON WING — invited him back to playing. The moment he heard HAMMER's first count, a sense he thought he had lost came back. But MARSHIVERN is not a place for reproducing the past. It is a place of sound chosen by someone who cannot return, and moves forward anyway.

演奏と舞台での役割ON STAGE

曲の冒頭に「何かが始まる」緊張をつくる。Creates the tension of “something is beginning” at the head of a song.
ソロでは勝利の誇示ではなく、越えられない距離へ手を伸ばすような熱を残す。In solos he leaves not a boast of victory, but the heat of reaching toward a distance that cannot be crossed.
BLADEの鋭い対旋律を受け、HAMMERのカウントに押し出されることで、独走しない前進をつくる。Taking BLADE's sharp counter-melody and being pushed by HAMMER's count, he makes a forward motion that never runs off alone.

仲間との関係CONNECTIONS

HAMMER: 「IRON WING」で共に演奏していた、最も古い仲間。再び音を鳴らすきっかけを作った。His oldest friend from IRON WING, the one who made playing possible again.
BLADE: 熱を研ぎ澄まし、衝動を音楽へ変えるもう一人のギタリスト。The other guitarist, who sharpens the heat and turns impulse into music.
FORGE: RAVENの上昇を地面へつなぎ止める低音の支柱。The low-end pillar that ties RAVEN's ascent back to the ground.
SIGNAL: 直感のまま走ろうとする彼に、曲の意味と余白を返す翻訳者。The translator who gives meaning and space back to someone who would run on instinct alone.
