その人を形づくるものTHE CORE

HAMMERは、MARSHIVERNの発起人。だが、誰かを従わせる指揮官ではない。沈黙していた仲間にスタジオの鍵を渡し、次のリハーサルの日を決め、最初のカウントを鳴らす。

豪快で親しみやすい大男だが、演奏に入れば一拍の重みを知っている。彼の武者震いは恐怖ではなく、これから始まる大舞台を全身で迎える喜びだ。その熱は、RAVENを含めた誰かの衝動を、壊れない形で前へ出す。

HAMMER is the instigator behind MARSHIVERN. But he is no commander making anyone obey. He hands the studio key to a friend who had gone silent, sets the date of the next rehearsal, and sounds the first count.

He is a big, bighearted, approachable man, but once playing he knows the weight of a single beat. His shiver is not fear — it is the joy of meeting the coming stage with his whole body. That heat pushes someone's impulse forward in a form that will not break.

MARSHIVERNとの接点WITH MARSHIVERN

現役を離れ、行き場を失っていたRAVENと再会したHAMMERは、かつて「IRON WING」で共に演奏していた彼を言葉で救おうとしない。ただ一緒に鳴らす場所を用意した。HAMMERが始めたバンドではあるが、最初の一音は五人そろわなければ完成しない。

When HAMMER met RAVEN again — his former bandmate from IRON WING, retired and with nowhere to go — he did not try to save him with words. He simply prepared a place to play together. It is a band HAMMER began, but the first note is not complete until all five are there.

演奏と舞台での役割ON STAGE

一曲の始まりを宣言するのではなく、全員が踏み出せる拍を置く。Rather than declaring a song's start, he lays down a beat everyone can step out on.
ダブルキックで疾走をつくり、ブレイクで全景の息を止める。He builds the sprint with double kick, and stops the breath of the whole scene at the break.
ブラス系の三人が合流する曲では、彼らの一斉の入りを誰より楽しみにしている。On songs where the three brass players join, no one looks forward to their simultaneous entrance more than he does.

仲間との関係CONNECTIONS

RAVEN: かつて「IRON WING」で共に演奏していた仲間。彼が再び音楽を選ぶ入口をつくった。A former bandmate in IRON WING. He made the doorway through which RAVEN chose music again.
FORGE: 低音を共有する最も強い相棒。The strongest partner, sharing the low end.
SIGNAL: 電子的な合図を、人間の体温を持つ演奏へ変える。He turns electronic cues into playing that carries human warmth.
